IHK-Certified Specialist Detectives for the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region, Franconia and the Upper Palatinate

Nuremberg, with connections to motorways 3, 9 and 73, a network of federal roads around the city, train connections and the "Albrecht Dürer" airport, is the transport hub of the Nuremberg metropolitan region with 3.6 million inhabitants. This fast accessibility and mobility make Nuremberg particularly attractive for small, medium-sized and several internationally significant companies. With a gross domestic product of 167 billion euros and an export quota of 49 per cent, the region is appealing both for entrepreneurs and employees. 150,000 companies with 2 million employees are excellent proof of a thriving economic environment (all data 2022).

Due to its constant growth as a business location, the region recorded an under-average unemployment rate of around 3.7 per cent in 2024, with the underemployed rate at approximately 6.5 per cent, while the city of Nuremberg has an unemployment rate of around 5.5 per cent, and in the surrounding area the number of job seekers is significantly lower. Due to this great potential both in the economy and in private purchasing power, the detectives of Kurtz Investigations Nuremberg are in high demand in the region.

Tourist Magnet Nuremberg

Nuremberg, located in the centre of Bavaria on the edge of the Franconian Jura, was first mentioned in documents in 1050. The city is surrounded by recreational areas, with Franconian Switzerland to the north and the Franconian Lake District to the southwest. Nuremberg is the largest city in Franconia, currently with 544,876 inhabitants (May 2024). Around 2.8 million overnight stays from almost 1.6 million tourists (private and business) were recorded in Nuremberg in 2014, primarily due to the many trade fairs and exhibitions, in addition to countless day-trippers.

Visitors in particular will find a city with much late-medieval architecture and the largest cultural-historical museum in the German-speaking region, the Germanic National Museum, which originated from a Carthusian monastery built in the 14th century, was converted into a museum between 1852 and 1857, and received additional neo-Gothic buildings in the early 20th century. The city’s landmark is the Imperial Castle, located in the old town surrounded by the largely preserved city wall. In addition, the Meistersinger Hall and the State Theatre are worth visiting. Furthermore, Nuremberg offers many green spaces for walking and relaxation, including the landscaped castle bastions, the "Baroque Castle Park of Neunhof" and the Hesperiden Gardens in St. Johannis.

The greatest tourist magnet, however, is the Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt, which annually attracts around 2 million visitors at Christmas (2024) and is consistently a site of bag thefts, which is why the private detectives of Kurtz Investigations Nuremberg are regularly deployed here for one month each year. If you, as a resident or visitor of the city, fall victim to offences against your property, our Nuremberg detectives will gladly assist in resolving the case: +49 911 3782 0154.
